Riverfront Clocktower

The Story

I have lived in Spokane for about 7 years now and I have always really enjoyed the different areas and districts around the city. One of my favorite spots is the Riverfront Park. Though the pavilion is a obvious choice for a landmark in the park, I always liked the clocktower. I was very happy when I heard that news that the clocktower would be doing hourly tunes now. I felt inspired to create something to honor it. At the time, it was my most detailed piece, using the most colors of yarn and requiring intricate carving.

Materials & Size

This piece was made with a combination of recycled acrylic and new wool yarns on a custom wood worked frame with decorative routed edge. Roughly 36" tall and 25" wide.
